In January of 2017 all across Canada, we marched together in solidarity with Sister Marches around the world. 4000 people joined us at the Alberta Legislature. Today, in Edmonton, we March On.
We are moving forward together now because our work is not finished. As grassroots organizers, we continue to proclaim that Women’s Rights Are Human Rights.
Our focus is local: pay inequity in the workplace, gender-based violence, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, and stopping the bullying of women in public life.
On January of 2018, we organized the first Women’s Anniversary March and again many came together from all walks of life, political affiliations, religions, and cultures.
The March On Edmonton Collective is a grassroots, non-partisan group of women who are working to effect social change.
